Quote: was THRILLED when John Edward (amazing man who talks to folks who've passed over...I've seen the money grubbing fakers with the ear peices...that's not him..have you ever caught his show?) signed on to be scientifically tested...measured brain waves and such to demonstrate telepathy. Just that made my heart leap...that he was that sure of his gift.
I've seen a couple of people do what J.E. does. I'm really a sceptic and kept trying to figure out how it could be faked - but it was completely real, I'm sure.
The last time, I went with a girlfriend to a book signing, and the woman started to do a brief reading with the small group (30 people) who were there.
My girlfriend had recently lost her father to cancer. The woman read one other family first, then looked towards our corner of the room and said my friend's father's name (okay, not an unusual name, but she used the full, formal name, which is what he went by, not the more common short form). My friend raised her hand and the woman went on to state that my friend had a son. (Okay, could be a lucky guess BUT she didn't say children she said A son - my friend is in her forties and had just had her only child a few months before her father's death - he was the only grandson).
She then mentioned that her father said to tell her that he had his teeth! Well, when he was in his final hospitalization, his false teeth wouldn't fit anymore and he couldn't wear them and it was a big problem feeding him. It really distressed my friend because she had never seen him without his teeth.
She then mentioned that he was with her mother - well her mother died when my friend was a child.
The only thing she said that we couldn't make sense of was something about a train - we thought maybe it had something to do with an accident she had passed near a train track on the way there, but it seemed like a stretch since it wasn't a big accident. But the woman definitely saw trains. Oddly enough, just this weekend I had a flash about this. It's now 2 years later, and my friend's little boy is OBSESSED with trains, the way my son was with dinosaurs. All his toys are trains, he loves to ride on trains, he talks about them all the time Coincidence?
BTW - for the fellow sceptics out there - NONE of the things the psychic mentioned were discussed by my friend and I at any time that evening before the psychic reading. There would have been no way to pick any of it up from a hidden microphone. There were no "wrong guesses" in between the "hits". And although I'll agree, her father's name and the existence of a son could have been lucky guesses - the thing with the teeth was so specific! I believe.
