No matter how real your experience seems to you, it’s not always an accurate indicator of the truth. Experience is just perception filtered through conditioning. Different filters create different experiences.
Good to remember when your perception doesn’t feel good

We have all had tragic events in our lives. But do those events make the world tragic?
The events are. Tragic for US. Haven't those same events been exactly what others wanted? Not tragic at all? So it is the perception of those events. Right? The world is neither.

it is only comic to those who have been lucky
I think this is what struck me. Lucky? Nah.
I have found people who have had the worst luck to find the world comic. They simply look at things differently.
What I ABSOLUTELY agree with.
When we face tragic events. Yes. Looking at them. Facing them. THIS is where we grow and find our strength. Completely agree.
You know Gritter. I love these debates with you

Ah, but I wasn't saying "through" the process it is not seen as tragic. Just as it IS.
You're right. THROUGH the process the world does seem tragic. We have been wronged. Right? It wasn't suppose to happen this way. Right?
BUT. What we find is it CAN be comic at the same time. Because BOTH are simply perceptions. The event itself? Tragic to us. Comic to others. Neither here nor there to most.

Anyone who has not experienced that (no tragedy) is indeed lucky.
I wouldn't say lucky. I think you'd have to be dead Things will NEVER go our way ALL the time. It's just a matter of how we deal with these times.
Of course having your eggs screwed up at breakfast might be less tragic than your W f'ing another dude. But still. Both can be seen as comic OR tragic.
OR. Maybe. You ordered over easy and the scrambled were better anyways
Now what?

The wisdom gained on this board is priceless! I prefer my eggs over easy but I would rather eat scrambled if it would have stopped my ex from doing the maintenance man at her work. Then again I think she always wanted to be the bread winner in the relationship. I guess that just turned me into toast! Maybe I really am the lucky one!

You’ll eventually master whatever you practice on a daily basis. It doesn’t matter if it’s an artistic talent, conscious awareness, or a bad attitude; consistency will make you a pro. Look into your habits to see if you’re practicing things you actually want to get good at

A couple from my favorite quotemaster.....Henry Ford
I am looking for a lot of men who have an infinite capacity to not know what can't be done
The best we can do is size up the chances, calculate the risks involved, estimate our ability to deal with them, and then make our plans with confidence.
