It sounds like you have the right attitude.

One thing a lot of people missunderstand when they first arrive is time.

Any turning around of a sitch takes time, A LOT of it.

Be patient and continue to do what it appears that you are doing in the end one of two things will happen

You will detach completely in which case it does not matter which way the sitch ends up

or

You will begin the process of winning her back

Both sound good to me

I would create a signature so that others coming in will get a snap shot of what is going on, you can look to other posters for an example.

Post often and people will be around. It always takes time to get started
