Hi, I go tthat advice too about men to date - so kind of them to think of us. Actually they 'think' they will feel better when we are with someone. At the same time any suspicion that we do date makes them jealous - I kid you not. I have a couple of good male friends. At the same time my xh also 'thought' I was gay, also 'thought' I was not interested in s@x, and intermittently and rarely, grateful that I was providing stabliity for our kids.
Short answer is that they are both guilty and confused! As for sensitivity, like empathy, it isn't on their radar.
I didn't do sarcasm, because I have always been good at the flip answer, so for me to hold fire was a true 180. So I saved the answers like 'I don't want to compete with you' and 'I don't need to date I just want to f***'
well, I see your point about the 180 of holding one's tongue.
but the "I don't want to date, I just want to f%$#" may win for "Best Answer!"
I know It was "good for me".

LMAO!! I'm so proud of you all!!!! Regardless of what we go through, we somehow hang onto the 'wicked' , sarcastic, witty part of our personalities!! Sometimes, it's the only smile we have on a bad day.
