just avoid doing what my younger sister did on her dreaded divorce day.
After 5 months of her h saying he wanted out, AND filing, I arrived on a Wednesday, knowing her divorce finalization hearing was Friday, movers were coming Saturday. She had not packed...
The hearing day arrived and I drove her there. Of course she had all her rings on and sobbed throughout the proceeding, literally...
(The hearing was with the world's most insensitive judge I have ever heard, and that's saying a lot. He literally joked that "for SOME of you this is a sad day but for some of you it's a GREAT day, best day of your life...." and chuckled at his humorous wit...)
When it was over, my sister asked her h for a hug (I swear...) which he awkwardly gave her.
Until he married his first cousin (allowed in 22 states; I checked)
exactly 30 days later, which was the minimum allowable time frame in Florida, she expected to wake up from her bad dream...
I think I can safely say you'll handle it better. Though it still stinks, you're a good guy and you will fully recover-on your way already, and you will survive and thrive.
but nonetheless...
major hugs KD ((( )))
PS nice work with LG. Who said you aren't a patient man? (NOT ME!)
