OMG Punkin, I just spit out my juice.

Chances, do not let this stop you from moving forward. You have been given some valuable info from this backslide.

The changes need to be real or he will see right through them. More importantly, they have to be for you.

He is in the "poor me" mode. Do not play into it.

So, keep detaching, keep working on you.

When interacting with him, be positive, listen and validate.

Then monitor and change as needed.

Most importantly, do not beat yourself up over this.

Keep going.

What she said^^^^^^^. Poor, poor pitiful me is a song you are going to get very tired of hearing. You might as well learn to tune it out now, and don't let it deter you in your forward motion.
