This drive me nuts, too, and I agree with everyone that it is all an act. I read somewhere that when they act the happiest is when they are hurting the most. It's where the denial of the depression fits in.
My W made it a point to tell just about everyone at our kids school Open House last night about the D and smiled from ear to ear when she did. Everyone she told that to gave me a look like she was totally insane. And, she is.
