I went to the movies with my Mom yesterday. She wanted to see The Tree Of Life. After about half an hour I was hoping someone would take a chainsaw to that tree! It was like watching some wacked out home movies of a family you don't even know and then wondering why the hell you're doing it. Dinner in the IKEA cafeteria was much better though.I had the braised wallboard with foam packing chips on the side. I had to assemble it myself. Today was the hottest day ever in Toronto. It's now in the record books! I went downtown to visit the shrink, she's got an air conditioned office. Afterwards, I strolled around the book stores and blew my wad. Th th th that's all folks.

I don't think I've even seen a trailer for The Tree of Life. Who is in it? What's it about? I can almost guarantee I won't see it based on your review but my curiosity is up. Is it one of those darned indy movies? I almost never understand those...LOL!

My D18 and I are going to Germany next week to visit my D31 ... I am really looking forward to it. We will not have to fight with any highways ... just take a float plane to Vancouver airport, then the flight straight to Germany.

Have a great trip, Being Me! Today was my Aunt's memorial lunch. It was a wonderful celebration of her life at her favourite Chinese Buffet restaurant where they always treated her like family. Got to see some of my cousins who I haven't seen in 15 years at least. It just reminded me that no matter how long between visits, you are still family and always will be. What a blessing! I also found out today that we had another death in the family last night. It seems this year that every time I take vacation somebody dies, I'm gonna work 52 weeks a year from now on!
I forgot to mention the quote of the day. As we were leaving the memorial lunch today someone shouted at us "take care of your Mom" and my Mom turned and responded indignantly "I can take care of myself, thank you very much!"
Correction, this may have been the best of the day. We're driving along and Mom's telling my brother what route he should take, how fast he should drive, what lane he should be in....and finally brother says "Mom, I mean this in the best of ways, shut up". I love family!
