I have a question. Wife called yesterday very nice and today I found out why. She wants money for moving. I have given her 1100.00 in the past 30 days and my 8 year old has brand new clothes, (I am a manager of a high fasion store and get a good discount). She makes more money than me I pay the agreed upon child support and above and beyond. She needs money for her move into a new place. I just gave her 200.00 a couple of days ago and the refridgerator is stocked full, my son has an x-box, plenty of games, a Wii, tons of clothes, a brand new laptop, she has a new computer, plenty of clothes, she has tons of family support. I have more bills then her.

She is laying on the guilt pretty thick. Do I give in and give her some more money? I have a pretty decent size inheritance but I don't want to dig into that to give her more money. She has no car payment and nothing she is paying is for me anymore like health insurance or cell phone. Please advise. I am more then current on the child support.

I wouldn't.

You aren't going to buy her back. And if you did? I'd worry.

DoggySector,

First I have to admit something. Every time I see your name, my mind reads it as "DoggyStyle."

Second.

I agree with Jack.

Doggreensector is a military thing. Dog company was the company of the Ranger that landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. But that is funny.

I kind of blew it yesterday. When I went over to see my boy. I had gotten off work very late night. My soon to be ex made the comment while I was over at her house, "You are not going to spend the night, and you need to understand, that I have no interest in getting back with you."

I don't where that came from, I was playing with my son and I didn't even ask to spend the night or talk about getting back together. I politely excused myself and on the way home I started to fume. I called my spouse back and said,, " I would spend the night at your house if someone held a guy to my head." She hung up on me. She them called back and said that she was only "kidding." I am so irritated about this that I just don't want any contact with her anymore. I don't care if we get back together anymore. She can have her boyfriend.

I understand your reaction, Doggy, but all you did was feed into her drama and control. A better response would have been a casual laugh, and maybe a "Thinking mighty highly of ourselves tonite, are we? Actually, that was the furthest thing from my mind, but whatever!"

Confident. Light.

Yeah I blew it by losing my temper. Wow I am a total idiot. I did nothing but make a total donkey of myself. Live and learn I suppose.

Don't beat yourself up, dog... get up, dust yourself off and keep moving forward...

it's a set back, maybe... it's not a deal breaker, probably...

I'd speculate, she wasnt kidding when she said it. but only said she was kidding after she got the rise out of you.

as far as the money goes. No.

if your children have all their needs met, then that's the extent of your financial responsibilities. anything else is extra.

I am embarrassed to post on here. I blew it big time. I went ballistic on my ex and called all day telling her off, cussing, completely angry.

I feel like a loser. I am a damaged human being. I won't ever change.
