For anyone struggling with the decision to split your finances from your WAS/MLCer, please make the split. I learned the hard way, I knew my H was not the kind of man that would go off the deep end financially. But I was very wrong! H is turning things around but it will be more years before his credit rating is out of the tank.
I did take steps to split us financially, I missed one credit card. H found it and charged it up without my knowledge. I only found out when the creditors started calling about lack of payments. That showed up on my credit rating now and it was brought up, but because of everything else I had done I still had excellent credit. Protect yourself.

Thanks seeking, you're very gracious and I thank you, but it took me so long to get here. I was horrid at the beginning of all this.
How are you doing?
There is plenty to work on yet, but some things are just H's character and that's the person he is. Can't change that and I wouldn't even want to try. For me I need to make sure I don't become complacent and lazy.
Heading out for a fun weekend! yeah!

Summer is flying by and so busy and I have that feeling that I haven't done anything, but that's not true either.
So often I don't understand the Big Plan until after things happen. That's when I can look back and see why the sequence of events ocurred in the order they did.
Letting life happen instead of trying too hard to change the direction is the best thing I did.
That doesn't mean sit down and do nothing, it just means accept what you can't change, and enhance what you can.
Have a bit of a challenge coming up, a friend of a friend wants to join us on a horse camping trip. That friends friend needs a ride for her horse, which means I would have to pick it from xows place. Haven't decided how to handle this yet, if enough time is passed and I should cowgirl up and do it. xow and I haven't crossed paths for a year or two.

Still working on that part, I have no desire to go to xows just to make things convenient for someone who won't appreciate my time and effort anyway.
Life has been busy but I don't know what I've gotten done! It feels like the driveway is a revolving door and folks come and go all the time. I'm getting some nice help in trade for letting them ride horses, now if I could just squeeze some expense money out of them!
Anyone have any good diet ideas? I want/need to drop some pounds.

WCW - I did the Dukan Diet - but modified it a bit, as I didn't want to do the all protein days. It is a good diet, you don\t get hungry and it is based on food! Not supplements, shakes etc.
Basically low fat, low carb, lots of protein and veg. I lost just over a pound a week quite effortlessly and look and feel better,
I have lost 73.5lbs since last September. I have done it all with portion control. I do not deny myself anything, just eat a whole lot less of it. I now only have 19lbs left to reach my goal. I was hoping to make it by this week as it is the date I started on this weight loss journey, but hey, I still have done a great job, now I would like to lose these last pounds by the end of the year. You can do it, just focus on your portions. Get an app or go to Fitness Pal you can log in calories, exercise and weight. It is a motivator for me. It is also a site where you can have other weight loss buddies like facebook. You control who sees what. My sister and I use it and I am he only friend on there, but it really is a great motivator!
