You're doing great CTH. Life moves one. Divorce is devastating. My kids STILL say, particularly my D8, that they wish we got back together. In the long run, you'll see that the relationship really was NOT meant to last. Saying goodbye to any comfort...is not easy.

My kids recently were in the car and I was saying goodnight to them and, prior to a long stretch without see them, I said I was going to miss them.

S10: "..but dad, you've gotten used to this by now."

Me: No S10, I've ADAPTED to this. I will NEVER get used to not being with my kids.
