It's been a while since I posted on DB, but as my girls call it I have been "creeping" on here. "Creeping" on facebook is a synonym for being nosy reading people's post...lol.
I did Match.Com and I like others, did not like having to pay the money. I tried Plenty of Fish. I went on a few dates. Some that were okay, but a few that were not...lol. I always met that a public place. I did end up becoming good friends with one of the men I met on POF.
A year ago a friend from college and I reconnected on FaceBook, and as they say the rest is history. He is sweet, kind, and likes me for me. Recently, we went to visit a presidential library. As were walking up the sidewalk, we were holding hands, when we got close to the door, we stopped holding hands so he could open the door. A lady was sitting on a bench and said to us, "Keep holding hands, you don't see that much anymore. I love seeing it." I almost replied to her, "Oh, we are holding hands, because we aren't married", but instead I smiled. I thought I might sound a little cynical if I said that. The thing I realized is that marriages would be better if we kept the "freshness" of dating.
Hang in there friends, and don't settle on Mr/Ms Okay, keep looking for the right one!!!
