No, not worried about that, I just didn’t want to have to respond. However, being a specific question about D I felt I had to. Just kind of P’d me off. I was not in a great mood last night.

Validate. "Yes, bugs were bad. D got bites and I got many as well. It was crazy with bugs. Next time maybe bugs won't be as bad..."

Nothing you can do about nature and even the best bug remedies are not perfect, but you can't hide your D from life experiences because of bugs...

I sent a short reply saying something similar. Just said yes they were bug bites and I had gotten them too.

She responds right away “Oh, OK, just wanted to make sure. I washed them and put some Neosporin on them”

Country, this is always hard to think that a parent can be selfish. As you said, you have created some great memories with your daughter. That's what matters the most. I guess all that can be done at this moment is to the best dads we can.
