Compassion is always better than bitterness.

I swing back and forth between genuinely feeling sorry for XW and then I'll feel resentment for her choices.
The former definately is a better place to be.

Just don't fall into the trap of feeling smugly "superior" for making "saintly" decisions.

But do what you must to keep your sanity.
