When we moved to Alaska son was then 12 and it was NOT a friendly town we were in. He got into fights for the first time in his life, and all were started by the "friendly's..."
Then h coached wrestling and got our son into it. 2 years later, son was a state champion twice. All from getting beat up.
He's also not a little shrimp now either. Turns 25 tomorrow and is 6'3", 200 lbs solid...
he still recalls it and you know, I think he's pretty proud of himself today. Your son will be too. I doubt he'll see it the way you do. Focus on the pride you feel, you sensitive guy you.
I played softball into college and think, in hindsight, that dad's drinking kept me out all summer with as many teams (summer, competitive, school, all stars and tournaments) as possible, to get out of the house.
God help me for saying this, but sometimes, "thru suffering we grow" and don't we know that here?!
So good to hear from you. Glad your w is....less batchit....?
(( ))
PS hey ease up on the chick who had some drinks and LIKED you. Most guys I met when sep were expecting that.
I told them "hey I barely know you", etc b/c we were in long m's and it's not something that I can just switch off....
she may have thought it was the thing to do and you were the first guy who looked good AND had a job....(AND teeth...and no criminal record. )
PS CALL NYS Child Supp idiots to confirm they got your letters...(OMG don't assume they'll do the right thing!)
