CS - Just want to weigh in on this. I think that I told you this months ago, but I will say it again... STOP sending her pictures!! LOL....
uh hum... sorry about that... let me say it another way...
You are NOT doing yourself any favors by doing this. It is pursuing... and it lessons the chance that your W is going to miss you... and her family (you and D together).
BTW, you being good at photography? That is great. Seriously. But that is merely an excuse here that you are using to justify this continued behavior.
Sorry man. Just saying it like I see it.

I have been following this advice. This weekend will be a good one. Will be gone with her all weekend and you can bet the W will not hear a word from me. Even if she asks, I have the "no cell service" excuse since we'll be in the mountains. Not that I will say it...
I had to call her today to go over some logistics. It was fine, but I was less upbeat than normal. In a bit of a funk.
She says some stupid crap. One, I brought up me getting her the following weekend for Fathers Day. I threw out there that if she wanted to keep D tonight to make up for the extra days, that would be fine. However, I would love to see her tonight.
She said something about "I am not going to punish you for having D on Fathers Day."
OK...
The she told me she requested the day off work for D's birthday in July.
I really don't even know what she was getting at. She said something like "I know we'll have to share her anyways."
I didn't follow up and she just said she'll let me know when she finds out if she got the day off.
Times like now I just wish I didn't need to talk to her or see her at all. Instead, I will see her tonight, tomorrow morning, and then again on Friday.
I need a vacation...

Good, don't say it. Men don't hide behind excuses.

No you don't. You do your thing with D2 without her. Let her do her thing with D2 wthout you. And God forbid if you send pics! haha. Let her know you plan to be a great single dad and move on with your life.

That's why I said go dark, just say hi and bye to her. Unless you have dire information about D2. Which 99.9% you won't.

Kids should be with their dads on father's day. Likewise, with their mothers on Mothers day.
I, for one am leaving for vacation tomorrow.

She mentioned not wanting D to have to go to daycare on her birthday.
I am thinking of telling her that I will take a half day off work so she doesn't have to worry about taking the day off of work.
I am thinking 2 things here. 1, it gives me a lot more time with D on her BDay. 2, it basically says to W I will be doing my own thing with D that evening, without actually saying it.
It puts the burden on her if she is thinking something different.
Thoughts?

I think that is a great idea for both reasons. Go for it CS.

The fact that you even thought of an excuse tells me where you are at mentally and emotionally.
You are a still a petal on her flower, instead of her being a petal on yours.

CS, your D is going to be two. kids that age all go to school, daycare. What you should do is have her go to daycare, ask the moderators/aids what is a safe treat to bring into school for all the kids to celebrate her bday. Then you plan something for that weekend for her when you have her.

More rescuing here. I wouldn't do it.
Side thought, if you are scheduled to have you D2 on her bday then invite over your family and friends for a little cake.

Like I said, I hadn't really thought about it until W brought it up today, but it would be nice to have a full afternoon with D that day. Go to the zoo or something.
The other side, like I said, I think it tells W that I am plannig my time with D that afternoon and she should go ahead and work because we will be doing our own thing.
