Ellie: I wish I'd started a blog when I began. It seems to be one hurdle after another. I'm getting there but boy is it a lot of work and it seems like everyone is ANAL!

Hey - I think I'm going to be in your area at the beginning of Oct. Hope we can get together with Karen as well.

Just a quick note here.

My ex visited Toronto on Saturday and took Brandon out for his birthday. Their R has been a bit strained since our divorce but both hope to improve it.

He got him a vintage Boston Bruins jersey which Brandon loved but the best gift was as follows. Chuck is a real handyman. He knew that Brandon had some real space issues in his new, smaller apt. So he listened to his needs, they did some measuring and then Chuck took him to Ikea and bought him the shelving he needed then went back and put it all up. What a gift! That is the Chuck I was married to!

It has taken 10 years but finally we are starting to see glimpses of the man we used to know. Interesting!

And I will be contacting him this week as I have changed our cel phone numbers for our new location. Things are coming together here.

Sound like he may be reappearing from his MLC. Hopefully he keeps on the right track to rebuild his relationships with his kids.

How was your Mother's Day?

Kat: I used to think he was going to come through the MLC tunnel after some time but after 10 years - I'd pretty much given up. But I do think some realizations come with age - MLC or no MLC.

I was not with my 2 younger kids and I thought it would be hard but they both called me. Ashley had given me a nice gift a week ago and then added me to Facebook again yesterday (after numerous requests)- I was touched!

Ryan was with me and his new nurses helped him buy a gift and card and hold the pen to write it out. And Josh cooked breakfast for me and despite the fact we had to clean the cottage and go to the dump - we also got out in the boat and I had a fantabulous day!

How was your day? Good I hope. Some of my friends had lousy days but I think it comes down to expectations a lot of the time.

WOW ! Nice of him to help your son out with the shelving. I am sure that that was a shocker to your son.

Hi Ever,

I AM feeling good. Strangely, I have never been a morning person but here I am wide awake at 5:30 and up by 6 (not sure if this will last). Although I am a bit overwhelmed (I am heading south to a convention tommorrow and I am not a bit ready) - I still feel in control. Wishing I was not going to the convention but knowing that when I get back I will have my new kitten, Riley with me (picking him up while away) and then I have no big plans for a while.

There has been some interest in my house for sale in Niagara. The photos are online now. Anyone wishing to see them - www.markprimerano.com then look at 7740 Southwood Drive. Sorry that I don't know how to link. I AM blonde!

Today I finish cleaning and staging the cottage. I will list it in late afternoon. Prior to that I have a big meeting re Ryan's care, packing, planting and making a cabinet in miniature for the convention. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute.

I have been at the cottage (25 min away) for the past 5 days for several hours at a time. Clearing away memories. And I'm good with it all. (Didn't think I would be). Had 2 cleaning women over yesterday to help a bit and one of them just LOVED it. Too bad she couldn't buy it but she remarked on so many cute things and made me feel really good!

I know my move is right. I love this new house. I'm so happy with Ryan's adjustment and more than anything I want the other places sold, every last item moved out and then I can relax and enjoy.

I left furniture in the Southwood house for showing. Most of it will not fit here so I am selling it. Just learned that my neighbour wants the dining room and foyer pieces. That leaves me with only 1 recliner and 2 loveseats to sell as everything else is spoken for. How awesome is that????

I still have about a truck's worth of boxes etc in the garage that I will need to move. My sister is bringing some things here tommorrow with her as she will be staying here while I'm away. Partially to help with Ryan, partially for her own vacation. Nice! & I will bring back whatever will fit in the van this weekend too. Then I think I'm going to have to rent a truck one weekend and finish the move. Whew!I've been moving for 7 months!

OK, off to create a new TO DO LIST and put out the garbage. Here we can't do it the night before. We have bears!

Thanks Ever!

My R E agent points out all the imperfections in my house every day. I think the house is pretty nice and well priced. UGH!

Yesterday I listed my cottage. I LOVE my cottage. That was difficult. And with the price of gas - cottages won't be selling that easily. 5 days of packing and cleaning and frankly - still not really ready but doable. I will go back and pack more next week.

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate that. I did my best to declutter and "stage" my house. I think I must be a pack rat. I'm still getting rid of things of ex's.

I'm glad to be taking a break. I want to come back to some "calm" sunny days with my new kitten. Things are settling down with Ryan's care and my 2 care related meetings this week went well. Onward...

Barb
