You sound marvelous. Good luck in your new home and with your new life. You have always been an inspiration to me and I hope to be as strong and determined as you. While this is never an easy journey for the drivers or passengers, you have shown time and time again that you would be successful regardless what was thrown your.
Thank you Ever! What a lovely message to read first thing on my moving day!
I can't wait to get on with the final part of the move. Get settled. Join clubs (or form them) and make new friends. A sense of community. I've already noticed that everyone says hello. Everyone is friendly. It's a small town!
Josh just fixed up my bike for Spring and bought me a wicker basket. My daughter keeps teasing me - like I'm going to be Angela Lansbury or something. But I can easily bike to everything - for groceries, wine, pharmacy, hardware or just ice cream. It is only 2 blocks to the little gym they set up and the library!
I have always lived in Suberbia. I drive several times a day although my city is midsized. Still - this is refreshing!
My new little town is very busy in summer. Biking there will be nicer than trying to find a place to park on holiday weekends.
That sounds like a beautiful place to live Barb!!!! I've always dreamed of living in a small town with one main street but with all the conveniences of a larger city. I wonder if any of those still exist??? I live in a "small town" but it's small in the size of 38,000 people. Much smaller than I used to live in but still.....

Barb, I'll bet there's an LCBO and a Beer Store! No matter how small the town it's got to have these...and a Tim's too, no doubt Enjoy your new beginning!
So excited for you! A fresh start with fresh paint, a fresh view and a fresh village to explore. Sometimes i like to drive out a bit from town and drive on roads I am not familiar with and I get that "wonder" feeling. I feel as if I am in a new place(which I am) but yet I haven't really left at all. (Now you guys know why I hold on to my ruby slippers so tightly. lol)
Enjoy. kat

Yes Kat - a Fresh start! Josh and I have also started doing that - driving down unfamiliar roads. Weird thing is - they're all really close to our home!
Yes - Wii - LCBO and Beer Store but NO Tims!! I told Josh we should open a Drive Thru, Boat Up Tims - hire the kids to work it and make a fortune! Apparently someone tried to open a Tim's but local council vetoed it!
Anyway - first full day was exhausting! We had 7 new staff training while we moved in Ry's furniture and supplies. I drove my current nurse to the bus station in the afternoon to get her home. It was really hard for me. Tried not to cry. Didn't cut it.
It's going to work out - just so draining to get through so much at once. Can't wait till everyone is trained and we can relax and enjoy all that Muskoka has to offer.
I took my bike in for a tuneup yesterday when I drove Katie to the bus station. Somehow my brake cable got mangled in the move. But I do sport this niftiest "faux wicker" basket with a quick release and a handle so I can take it in stores when I shop. I will have to wait a couple more days.
I finally got some sleep last night! I feel better now but need more coffee and guess what? It is NOT raining!!! It has been raining and dreary here every time I've been here for the past month.
My kitty, Blu, has found a new favourite chair & is enjoying his new surroundings. He ws getting very traumatized in the last few weeks at home as all the furnishings were disappearing and even his sister Tango went to live with Ashley He will be getting his new baby brother in less than 2 weeks so after the initial adjustment - it should be fins.
Ryan was all smiles yesterday - what guy wouldn't love a room full of nurses catering to his every whim! LOL! His new room is full but it works and the staff referred to his new bath/laundry as "cadillac" whch made me feel much better as my bank account will take a while to recover. Unless I sell a house of course.
R E agent says he has some interest in the house already so please pray this sale goes better than the last one. I think I have priced it right and prepared it properly but nothing is perfect. I must go clean and "stage" the cottage for sale in the next few days as well. Then I hope I can finish unpacking and begin to relax.
Ugh! I'm still trying to get my new house all repeaired and fixed up while simultaneously trying to prepare my mom's house to put it on the market. I'll be so glad when all is done!!! We'll get there, Barb!
