Why not, you only give up when YOU shut the door. When YOU choose that so much damage has been done you could not foregive to get back to build a new marriage.
Your marriage is over at BD the rest is just paperwork. But YOU get to choose anything about YOU, the MLC'er will try to force you to choose what they want but that doesn't mean that YOU have to.
