First thing to remember is that you can't make your H do what he doesn't want to do. In his warped way of logic, he may be thinking that by not going to your D's Confirmation, people will see him as the victim. "I'm not going to go. That'll show them!" You can't control that.

You be there for your D and be two times the parent you are to fill the void. If your H does stop by, don't be surprised if he makes a big deal about it as if he were a hero saving the day just because he showed up. Ignore that. He just wants to hurt you to cover his own guilt.

Are his family involved with you? Are they coming to the Confirmation? If so, show them you've got things under control.
