Side forum from my normal thread. For those of you who have tried online dating, which site do you like best and why?
I have a profile on Match, but haven't signed up to be a member yet -- waiting until official D is done. But I don't want to waste money signing up for multiple sites.

I did the free trials on both eons ago, seem to me got more matches on match.com, very few would come up on eharmony even though I heard it is more detailed and better...

30something 2kids survivor of S, MLC, A, D I have peace in my heart, at last.
I didn't like the process of eharmony, lots of hoops to jump through. I do like the process of match however I have nto found a lot of guys worth dating...I have removed 2200 profiles and will let my membership lapse again at the end of the month.
I am on eharmony and actually enjoyed all the questions. They made me think about what I truly want for a partner. I've been communicating with 2 guys for about the past week. We are now in the stages of moving off the "questions" and on to emails and phone calls. I have enjoyed moving slowly...what's the rush? I've been able to take my time answering their questions and both of their answers to my questions have been "spot on." I'll keep you posted.
I am also on chemistry.com (you could check it out this weekend as it is free). I have not had any success on the site, however.
I also tried Plenty of Fish (free site)and got lots of requests for sex and that's about it. Except for the anti-social guy from Boulder who was really, really crazy!!!

I met the ex-boyfriend on Plentyoffish but think the pickings there are have been slim otherwise. I'm on Match but seem to be finding the most interesting guys on OK Cupid, which is another free site.
CTH, read what you wrote on Bobbi Joe's thread. I think some websites you might want to check out on dating are Imnotreadytodatebutcantadmitit.com or wheretheheckdoIgetthemoneytodateanyway.com. Riveting stuff!
EHarmony was way too many hoops to jump through until you can even email the person. Too much effort. You have to go back and forth and answer stupid question first.
match gives you more matches but you need to weed them out pretty good yourself.
I wthinking about doing match again. It's time to seriously date:) I have some friday and sat nights alone. Why not go on dates?
Pardon me for sounding crass or slutty, but i have had multiple coworkers and Dr's tell me I would be all my aches and pains would go away already and i would start sleeping again if I would just have sex. I believe them.
OK GM, you've convinced me... I am willing to take one for the team... lol

OK, I have to ask...how does sleeping with people you barely know take away aches and pains and increase sleep? It sounds like idiotic tripe that people love to throw at single and unattached co-workers. I say go ahead and date and meet some nice people. But, if you want your aches and pains to go away and sleep to improve start Yoga or jogging or Tai Chi or anything else. Save sex for someone who deserves you! The prude has spoken.
I'm finally emailing the guy on eharmony and we've exchanged "personal emails" wow!!! I still stand on my former comments that it's a good thing to slow down and answer some questions first; what's the darn rush?
