Gr8 I noticed the same thing with my W when we tried to recocile last summer. I was putting way more into it than she was. We were just a time bomb waiting to go off. I admit I did get complacent at times but still feel I was the one doung all the work. Like MWD says, it's like a teeter-toter, the more one person does, the less the other will. I have realized my mistakes and know if, with god's grace I get another chance, I won't settle for her being half-hearted.
CS, sending that letter now will only set you back five steps. you are way too early in this process to be considering a letter like that.
I understand that you want everything fixed and back to normal.
Well Normal doesn't exist anymore.
You are just trying to get a reaction from her at this point and believe me when I say that it won't be the response you want.
Get ahead of her on the "Moving on curve" and you will see changes in her thinking.

I hear ya, getting them back the first time is hard enough, yet alone a second time.
Who ever cares the least about the R controls the R.
I have no faith that my W will try again.
I continue to be mysterious when she drops the kids off.(Uncharacteristic music in the backround) I either dress to the nines or make sure I come from the gym so she sees me pumped up when she drops the kids off.
Will it get her attention? maybe Will it make her have second thoughts? IDK Will it make me feel good to know that she is missing out on a great guy? ABSOLUTELY.
I gave a valient effort to save my M. I hold my head up high now and when my kids ask, all I have to do is tell them the TRUTH.
Looking forward to what life has to bring me. Right now it's a date friday night with an attractive Brazillian women.
Life's what you make of it! gr8

I have to admit gr8, you're not sounding like yourself in this post.

Really? We all control ourselves which has great influence over our R. I do not believe either person really controls the R. We only control ourselves. Right?

That sounds like you are doing it for HER. We do for ourselves right?

Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.
Well, a little wrench in my night I wasn't expecting. Our D has been throwing up tonight. I really did not want to call the W. At first I figured it would pass. After she threw up I gave her a bath and got her cleaned up. She went about an hour before throwing up again so I figured I'd be fine. Then just before I was about ready to put her to bed she did it again. I called the advice nurse and got some info. During the call D threw up some more. This is when I began to realize I would probably need to get the W involved. I am suppose to drop off D at daycare in the morning and that is looking iffy. So anyways, the W is at work tonight so I sent her a text to call me. Waiting to hear back. Most likely rather than me taking her to daycare tomorrow W will have to pick her up.
Anyways, the life of an LBS...

I'm exhausted. We went to the pharmacy and got her some meds for the nausea. Man I hope it works.
W went berserk with the calls and messages after I let her know. I let her know many times that I had it covered. She even said "sorry, normal motherly angst!". I bet knowing she would be home with D tonight would help calm that angst, but....
I can't in good conscious try to use this to my advantage though. This is about what is best for our D. I'm a good dad and know it. She thanked me for doing such a good job.
The advice nurse also complimented me for doing so well as a dad home with our D alone. I wonder what she looks like...
