Falling Out of Love

If you are catching up on threads, I kind of snooped last week. My daughter left her Facebook page up. She's friends with STBXW so I checked out her page and saw a photo gallery of her trip last August that sent me in a two-day tailspin.

When I am over at the house I try to get in and out as soon as possible. I remember in February though being over there and STBXW left her legal bill out. She hadn't seen her attorney since before October.

A couple of days later I was at a divorce rebuilding class and a guy at my table said he'd been separated but not divorced since 2004. That shook me up. I don't want to be divorced, but I also don't want to be in limbo for seven years and it didn't appear as if STBXW was doing anything.

So I instructed my attorney to send a settlement offer.

I am mostly able to avoid the old house -- although its visible from the main drag when I go to work.

I live in a fairly big area -- 200,000 -- in three main cities and STBXW does her partying with her biker buddies in a town 30 minutes north -- so we've run into each other just a couple of times outside of when I know I'll see her.
