Not sure what was wrong w/my computer but for the past week, every time I log in to this site, I get to the threads list, and as soon as I click on one, it says I am not logged in. So I log in again, click on a thread, and then am suddenly not logged in again!! Frustrating...
So I will post a quickie and then check on all of you.
I must say I was a pillar of strength yesterday. Dan had sent the kids to me Sunday in spring jackets as it was almost 70 and stayed that way monday/tuesday.
Wednesday instead the high was 38! So I needed their winter coats. I got the key to Dan's house from his parents so I could go in and get their jackets....it was a tempting situation at first but only for a few seconds. Then I realized there was nothing there that would benefit me to know about, so I resisted my urges, went in with my son, got the coats, and walked out. And took the key immediately back to the in laws so I would avoid further temptation!
In other news, I rejoined match for one month just to see what is out there...a guy I was really close to freshman year of college was on there! We were total partners in crime, of the harmless variety, back then. Spoke the same language of sarcasm and hung out for hours pretty much every day. Then he transferred to Iowa State sophomore year. Nothing ever happened with us bc I was dating Dan at the time, but he was a great friend.
Well he emailed me earlier this week, wondering what on earth a 'girl like me' was doing on match, that the pickings must be slim in my neck of the woods. Wanted to get together to catch up. He lives two hours from here... I told him that sounded like fun so we'll see if anything comes of it.
Oh, and my D starts her first year of soccer on Saturday unfortunately we just got 2" snow and will get some more tomorrow...not sure how they play soccer in that stuff!
