I found that once my H exited his depression and MLC, he couldn't remember much of the history he'd been rewriting. Also, it was as though he remembered me as the person he'd first met and fallen in love with. I think most of the rewriting has to do with deep feelings of depression, and the MLCer trying to make sense of why his world is falling apart and he feels abandonned and miserable. However, I realize that I was lucky that he did exit the MLC tunnel.
