This is normally Cadet's greeting post, but I'll just copy it:

Quote:

Welcome to this board.

The first thing you should do is be sure to read the Divorce Remedy book by MWD, Divorce Busting is also an excellent book.

Sorry you are here but you will meet some wonderful people here and get some great advice.

I have read a good deal of books on the subject and can give you some suggestions when you are ready.

I will give you a bunch of homework assignments to read.
This is my ultra brand new and improved list of links.

I would start with the going dark link.

Now you have all the tools to read. Let us know how your doing and if you have any questions.

I suggest that you read the entire thread in the resources.
You can also pick out some people and read their whole story.

The stages of MLC are a template which can only be laid over an MLCer's experience retrospectively.
It's impossible to see the pattern until it has finished being laid or the crisis is complete.(nickel Cyrena).
So do not be too concerned where your MLC'er is in this process.(Although my general guess is that they are in REPLAY)

Why yes you did.

How are you doing Cadet? Not trying to 'jack' jrr7's thread, but maybe your own?

The reason the links do not work is the board is updated from time to time and the links are then--unlinked. There will never be a permanent fix, which is unfortunately pretty frustrating. Jamesjohn did most of the linking work around here, and we're grateful. The best thing to do is to COPY the most helpful posts on the Solution Oriented forum.

In the resources that I posted above is a thread on book reccomendations.

I do not think giving him a book on MLC is a good idea.
It is not going to get him through this journey any faster and could make it worse.

Maybe if I was going to suggest a book it would be one of Jed Diamond's books.
Surviviing Male Menopause or
Male Menopause.

I learned a lot about this time of my life from those books.

Do not give him this website, IMHO.

Try to stick to one thread if possible.
Good luck to you.
