Well I'm no woman and far from a doctor but I'll give it a shot. I think it has been said here before and the more she writes you, the more apparent it is becoming. Cake and eat it too. Two men are fulfilling different aspects of her life. You and her have a connection that that dink she is living with can never achieve or begin to understand. You two created a living being together. A child that is a reflection of each of you. I bet you two had planned on having more kids too, right. She sees in you that real family that her actions are leaving behind. She testing the waters with the dink and finding out that she is not sure if she wants to take the swim. She wants to keep to both fulfill her family need and not burn any bridges. This is why it is important for you to act smart. Be a lighthouse for her but not a safety net.
