I realize it will be harder but I think she might have an easier time opening up to me. Either way I will be looking for a job back here even if I do end up working down there.

So, I took her degrees to the house but she wasn't there. A water bottle was on the front porch which meant that she was out jogging so I left the degrees next to it. I texted her that I had left them there and after a while she replied:
"Thx. I'll bring over stuff sometime"
Which seems like a pretty solid baby step to me. She wants to come over here which she has had 0 interest in up until this point. Of course I have to roll with it and not let the fact that she is only bringing me more stuff (I.E. it really is over) bother me.

Don’t want to give you false hope but this is how it all begins. One thing my W said to me when we first spoke after she left
W”I know if you don’t want to talk to me but I have some business I need to discuss with you”
Short and simple.
Take this opportunity to show yourself in the best possible light. I know you have slipped in the past but you did not have BITS power then. You do now!
I definitely see it as a positive. If nothing else she is coming towards me (literally) which is something she hasn't done in a long time.
I replied:
"ok, just let me know. It looks like I'm going to Houston Wednesday or Thursday for an interview."
she replied:
"K. Court date is Wednesday but you aren't expected / don't have to be there. Just fyi for the official date."
I replied:
OK, Thanks.

REEEEEEEEEEEALLY stung to hear the official date and I'm not sure why she waited until then to tell me. She must have already known. So, either she was opening up to me a little, testing me for my reaction or wanted to hurt me after I told her I was going to Houston for an interview. I really don't know but I'm sure it's not a coincidence that she picked then to tell me.
Doesn't matter though because I'm just going to keep DB'ing like a mad man !
