If I'd have tried to explain this to the scared girl I was back at the begining of my path, that scared girl would not have believed that by focusing on herself and making herself happy, and getting herself a life would improve her relationship. She was under the false impression that if she loved her husband, she'd put him first over herself.
It's been a long journey to realize that by filling my cup to the point that it overflows and splashes others is the only way to go! Versus, draining my cup to splash others and then not being able to splash anyone including myself.
