I haven't read the whole thread, but I assume that you are going dark. But you don't go dark on your kids. So if it looks like it is from your daughter, you should reply. In fact, things having to do with the kids deserve a reply. You want her to think you are busy doing other things and not thinking about your wife, but you don't want to make her think you are dead.

Thanks! It isn't exactly from my daughter, she is only 19mo's, but about my D. Yes, my instinct is to reply, I think it is the right thing to do. This "going dark" thing is hard to know how to handle....

After I responded to the pic of our D, she text back that her parents were down for her dads b-day. Right or wrong I responded back asking her to wish her dad a happy b-day for me. Idk, I just feel like this positive contact can't be bad. Still not initiating contact in my end.

Hey sorry Country. I haven't been in front of the computer tonight. Everything that you did has been great... except maybe the reply wishing her dad happy bday. But that's not too bad either way. I'd just stay as dark as possible. I agree with what Lotus said about the kids. You handled it perfectly.

Thanks Denver, I know. It was just she responded right after I did, so it was tough to fake, she new I got the message. I doubt it hurts too much. Like I said, not initiating anything.

Sad, at the club dbing from the iPhone!

So what if she knew that you responded to your D (or her being your D)? Just bc she texts you does not mean that you have to respond. You are TOO busy to be wasting time responding to your W who is having an active A. RIGHT?

Trust me... I know that it's hard... very hard. But we need to get your W missing you and wondering what you're doing... wondering if she may actually lose you for good.

The only way there is a very tough road. It isn't decorated with flowers and dancing unicorns.

This is what your W believes of her life right now.

Heck yeah!
I know it seems like a game but it kinda is. Don't let her win on that. Let her wait!
