He won't mind! I think that having a spiritual family is important because we can learn and grow with and from each other. It's also a place to build relationships and one of the things that always touched me about Christianity was it's emphasis on relationship, with God and each other. A church is a place to find companionship, a place to turn when things go wrong. It's touching to sit with others and pray for the needs of those who are in need, whether I know them or not. Doing so in a group can be nourishing. Even though I don't agree with everything that is taught/said/believed (and I could be wrong too!) I do feel a sense of something special when I worship with others. So one either learns to shut up and take the good that you get, speak out and risk being rejected (may or many not happen) or one finds a place where it's OK to have differing views and still worship and find support together. I'm just not a cookie-cutter mold Christian, so my friend says
