Ok so the text continued througout the day at different points about 30 minutes after that last text I get this one
W "Ok it's not funny anymore"
M "getting worse?"
W "Yeah and it hurts"
M "I am sorry sweetheart what time do u get off?"
W "Supposed to be 5 but will prob be later"
M "Your almost there hopefully they give u something for the pain also. It's going to be hard to drive with 1 eye. Maybe u should get a patch :)"
That was around 4:30PM
7:17PM
W "Oh and to make the day even more stupid...Urgent care doesn't accept your INS"
M "They don't? What did u end up doing?"
W "Right now I am waiting, and just paying for it"
M "Didn't want the ER?"
W "Ponca ER....No thank you" (Ponca is the nearest "large" town to where she lives and it is known for horrible medical care)
M "You might come out of there blind. I'm surprised they don't take my INS"
W "Yep Oh well I guess"
Nothing from me 15 minutes pass
W "Do u want to see my eye? LOL"
Now she sends me a pic of her. First time I have "seen" her since December. Getting the pic was bitter/sweet hard to explain remember all our contact is through the phone. The eye was bad swollen shut
M "OMG you look like you got punched. They are going to let you work like that?"
W "Thanks LOL"
M "you look great to me! Just showed D your pic she wants to talk to u"
W "Don't know about work. Still waiting for Doc. Tell D I will talk to her later when I get out"
A few more text were exchanged about her eye about 4 and that was it.
About 45 minutes ago she calls. She talked to D for a little bit and D really started askign questions. I could here from the other room. She asked why she didn't come back, that she missed her a bunch of stuff she does not normally do. I was torn but you know what D has questions and I usually get hit with all the questions. I thought it was good from D to get the other side. Then W gets on the phone with me
Talked a few minutes about D and about her eye then
W "D told me about her dream. She said that your mom told her she had a surprise at the door and she thought it was me. She was disappointed when it was just the flowers from her mother."
M "yeah she kind of hits you with these questions out of nowhere. I get sucker punched a few times"
W "she asked me why I couldn't come back. If life would ever get back to normal. I told her I did not know. That I love her no matter what and she can come see me anytime"
M "she misses you I know. She has asked me questions also. Why did W leave."
W "What did you tell her"
M "I told her because I was not as good to you as you deserved. That I thought I was doing the righ thing but I realized later I was not"
W "what did she say?"
M "she told me to tell you that I loved you and you would be ok. After she was upset with me. I told her you knew how I felt"
W "smart girl. I wish it was that simple"
Talked a few more minutes
W "I don't want to be a party pooper but I am going to check up on my mom and go home and get some rest. Try to rest this eye. I will talk to you again"
M "goodnight."

That is the latest update. She sent me a pic I was happy about that and I also have the upmost respect for you gals and guys that do see your spouse and are able to keep it together when I first got it I shook.
