Ms. Rae: YOU are a very sweet. I keep all my BITS ibn my thoughts and prayers. I am really trying to make a more concerted effort that this D is just a piece of paper. I like hearing stories of D couples getting married again to each other. It'sd very inspiring.

I HATE that we all are here because we are having M issues, but at the same time if things didn't happen, I wouldn't have "met" all of you. And even though we haven't met, I feel like we know each other pretty well. I really do love all you guys/gals. Your support is beyond immeasurable. And I thank God every day that I have you all to walk beside me.

Hugs and Prayers to all....

i think celebrating your mom this way is a fabulous idea!!
what a great way to be close to her
i'm sure you feel her and she will be so happy that you are being pro active
our parents just want our happiness and she is up there (with her mom and all of her family gone before her) having a big celebration, looking down on you thinking
"look how wonderful she is..her life is just going to get richer and richer"
she and they are all very proud
hugs to you across time and internet space

Zen, your plan for V-Day is awesome!! Tomorrow would have been my parent's 40th anniversary, but my father passed 11 years ago. My brother, sister and myself are going to spend the evening with her tomorrow night to make her feel better. I have promised myself that I will not bring up my sitch at all tomorrow night. The whole night will be about her ONLY! Gosh, I really miss my dad. He was my best friend and the best father a guy could ever have. This whole damned S thing would be so much easier if he were here to help me and guide me.

Hang in there sweetie!

Hi Zen,
I can only imagine how it felt to open that letter. My ehart goes out to you. I don't have much input to give right now, but I did want to express support. We're here with you ... we have your back. We'll work thru this thing together.

Denver, I was only teasing you! wink You give alot of attention to ALL the bits.

1) No, I'm not currently blocked.

2) Not really outside stuff. But we do play ball inside alot. He's a med. sized dog - mini Schanuzer who's not so mini - 26 pounds of sh!t! I'm a huge dog person as well. Not much to do with dogs where I live.

3) Hanging out with friends, fam, retail therapy, read, re-decorate my house (shift the chachkees around), journal....to name a few.

As far as the mis-interpretation on what I said....

It isn't just a paper right now...

It holds memories, regrets, laughter, bills, and I could go on and on of what that represents. 20 YEARS of your life is in those "just papers" you hold.

It is laughable to think that an emotionally healthy person could act as if they did not exist. Or that they are no more than a receipt from the coffee house you visit on Wednesday mornings.

To dismiss the memories they hold, would make us no better then what we complain about within our spouses every day.

To deny the emotions they stir , can cause us to "store" away those feelings, and when they present, they are filled with anger and bitterness from the past. To process them and feel them now, will let you detach with love and peace.

They can become just papers, over time, as those emotions are dealt with. You process those memories and place them where they belong and you find a way to take a step forward with your life.

Yes you can overcome , and yes you can fuel your fire to carry on.

But you must process this internally right now.

Only YOU can say when you are done with anything...
