for some ridiculous reason as a young child (probably 11) I saved up my allowance and bought one of those charlie mcarthy puppets (they make howdie doodie and charlie mcarthy) I also had about 150 stuffed animals in my room..eventually all the dolls had to go (partially cause we moved and they just didn't look right in my new young womans room and also because I was soon to be 16) the bears, elephants and the like were put carefully in boxes and put away but not charlie...he stayed out...was put in the hang out room. WHY? not cause I liked him but becuase he scared the living crap out of me as well as many who visited...I don't know what happened to him when my mother sold that house..but I'm not looking forward to seeing him again any time soon.
