I must say there are a lot of good posts here LL...some very thought provoking questions.

Since you've done me the favour, I'll return it. You've called me on a few things (oprions and such) which I prematurely dismissed out of hand so here you go:

You say that going out with friends is about "geography"...okay I'll assume that means you guys don't live near your old dear friends/family?

So...what about new friends? ARE you taking classes right now? If not DO IT!

Another idea I had was screw H, become pals with the "football wives" on your own!

There are a lot of possibilities there! Inside info, commisseration, de-facto inclusion on "couples" events.


Now about this "I'll be home by XX" and then NOT, well this IS a bugger! ...CJ was BAD for this...I'm just going for a few, won't be late....5:30 a.m. he comes home.

I'm pretty sure that his main motivation for doing this was to preempt a negative interaction with me....it's what he'd grown to expect.

I finally told him to make no promises about that at all, that way I would just assume he'd be out late and get on with my own evening, go to sleep etc. But I did it matter of factly, and I'm SURE that threw him off!
