"new drug" is the chemo they plan to give except it's not really chemo it's a drug that acts to kill or reduce cancer cells. They still want to put in a G tube, which is a bipass of the affected area. Yesterday the doctor (Dad's usual cancer doctor is away this week) came in and started talking about a new way of feeding him. Dad cut him off as he was so confused. My Mom, brother and Dad are meeting with the doctor this evening to get the full picture rather than doctors running in and out with this idea and that idea. Dad refused the injections because he's confused! As of Hospice care, that person was in last week but my understanding is that you only a have a certain amount of time to kick off or they send you elsewhere. If you live longer than you're expected to it becomes another major hassle. A friend of mine did that and got shipped out because she lived too long!
