That is messed up, my friend. If he is bigger than you or owns a bunch of guns, you might want to talk to a L about his actions. Just to protect yourself. Years ago, I was trying to help a female friend of mine hide from her ex. The dude went completely crazy. She was a co-worker and definitely not my type, so I promise there was nothing going on between her and I. One night, she was bored and asked me to take her and her son to a restaurant for dinner. She was afraid to go out alone and had a restraining order against him. Well, against my better judgment, we went. Sure enough. He was stalking her. He waited until we got in the restaurant and then stormed in the place. He threatened to kill me in front of all the patrons. He was much bigger than me and could have done it. I filed a complaint with the sheriff's department and was added to the restraining order. You can never be too careful...

Regarding the FIL thing don't know him but it is very hard to fight with a person who is nice. My W use to say "kill with kindness" I am confrontational by nature, but she was right. Perfect example:

If she was being a B&^%$ to me this whole I would not be hurting or even seeking to correct myself at all. The fact that she has been nice to me most of the time makes me crazy and makes me cry like a babbling idiot

He tried to intimidate me with the fact that he was in the Marines. He is harmless. He is actually a really nice guy most of the time. Passive-aggressive, though. He has flown of the handle a handful of times over the years, always apologizing for over-reacting. This time, however, don't expect that call. If he does, don't think I'll take it. I don't knwo why he is so aggressive towards me at times. It's not like I beat on my W or EVER put her in any kind of harms way. As far as the neighbors XH, he is 6'5" and huge from what I'm told, but I don't think he would be stupid enough to do anything. T%hat's why my FIL's reaction was so freakin' ridiculous. Sure doesn't help my sitch much, though. Should we R, I don't know if I would ever step into the IL's house again, but that's putting the cart before the horse a bit, I'd say.

I need to catch up on some threads, so I will catch up w/ you on your thread tomorrow. I know you have a big weekend coming up. I will definiteloy be there for you in spirit, my friend. You are doing better than you think you are.
