Mj - It's tough for me to give you legal advice without being able to really talk to you about it. You can definitely go to the Denver courthouse and request a temporary protection order. You fill out an affidavit, a judge reviews it, and either grants it or denies it. I'm pretty confident, but can't guarantee obviously, that a judge would grant it if he threatened to hurt you or kill you.

Just curious though, why is the policy as such to keep from any personal contact? Wouldn't you think that some folks might be able to really help one another out if they were able to make individual contact with one another? Especially those that live near one another. Aren't we all trying to help the best way we can? Why is this viewed in a negative way?
