I intend to live forever - so far, so good

I switched the Jan. 18 so I can go to D8's concert. I had to give up a night with them this past weekend though because a game was added to the schedule and I had to work it. So D11 went to a friend's house on Saturday and D8 went to STBXW's.

Oh well. It saved me sitter money so I came out ahead for the night -- and Sunday was a very good day. Church, Texas Roadhouse because of a coupon, a hike through the woods and then swimming at the health club. Another weekend where there were no raised voices, no timeouts.

Tomorrow is the next status hearing and nothing new.

I saw STBXW briefly a couple of times this weekend and now she avoids my eyes. She never looks happy when I see here anymore -- but that might just be because I'm around.

D11 mentioned that the house will go back on the market in April. It's going to be another long summer. House prices are likely to drop another 5 to 10 percent this year here. Nationally, I read a story about how prices need to fall another 20 percent to get back to historical trend lines. There is less hope that it'll sell this year than there was last year.

The thing with the Match_36 girl is petering out finally. On Tuesday she broke up with a guy she was seeing even while she saw me twice and texted me several times to come see her. It was veeeerrrryyyy tempting, but I said no. I'd made plans to meet a friend at the gym at 5 a.m. and I wasn't going to break it to spend the gas and wine and dining money to see her.

She sent an angry text at 2 a.m. and I didn't see it until morning. She apologized by text on Wednesday. I responded Thursday and there's been just one text since.

Phew.

Funny thing, Sunday's sermon was on temptation and it was very good. They showed a video of little kids who are put in a room with one big marshmellow. They are told that if they wait five minutes to eat it they'll get two marshmellows. It's hilarious watching these little kids struggle with not eating it.

The message basically what are the marshmellows that keep you from being the person you want to be?

I'm going to work on that this year. I have a long road to travel financially and I can't waste time and money chasing the wrong women.
