H's MLC - finding compassion and forgiveness

Journaling - D was taking H out tonight for his BD, he was picking her up, usually he just waits in the car for her, today he rang the bell...I opened the door and he said to me "Hi sweetie" (can you believe it?) I said Hi and felt obligated to say and Happy B-Day...he came in and gave me a kiss (on the cheek)...he was wearing a new jacket...so obviously a present from OW....he would never buy something like that before...too shiny...had his hair was all sleeked back...looked like an aging dandy...

So I don't know if he came in because he wanted to hear a happy B-day from me (hopefully he wasn't expecting a b-day cake waiting for him) or came in to show me the new "look"....

Anyway I was all dressed up to go out and he asked "are you going out?" like he was surprised...I said "Yes, have a good time with D, bye...

I had a nice evening out...by myself...shopping therapy and a late movie...
