Thanks OT. He told me yesterday that he listened to the CD in the morning and was very teary. He loves to sing. So I opened up the hymbook beside his bed, picked out a hymn and we sang it together.
Today I have a new adventure which has absolutely nothing to do with dying...nice change, eh! I call it "Whatis's Incredible Sony E-book Reader Adventure" and here we go, strap on your seat belts folks. It was a sunny day when Whatis finished his third cup of coffee and decided to contact his friends at Sony. Recently I purchased an e-book reader that said on the box "$25 coupon for Reader Store" yet my box did not have one in it. I contacted Sony and they advised me to go to the store I made the purchase from and get it from them. OK, today is the day! I'm ready. So off I go and once I reach the store I'm told they don't have that model in stock but can refund my money if I want. I do not want. They send me to another store which has the model I purchased in stock. Perfect. At this store they give me the coupon and off I go home. Hooray! At home I enter in my coupon code and it is rejected. I look at the coupon and it expires on March 1/10. Umm, this was not the nirvana I anticipated. So I email my Sony Support Buddy and told him I want my $25 credit anyway as the box does not specify any time limit and therefore I made a purchase with misleading information. I also mentioned the fact that Sony Support had instructed me to go to the store and get an EXPIRED coupon...and that makes me a very sticky little rice ball! So SSB says send us a scan of your bill and either a photo or scan of the coupon (how the hell do you photograph a coupon so that anything can be read?). I responded that I didn't have a scanner but provided the coupon code. SSB has now created an "event code" (hooray, we've got an event going now!)for me and transferred my issue to the correct department who will then be in touch.
So DBers, stand by and watch as Whatis brings that Japanese giant Sony to it's knees, beats the living sushi out of it...or just gives up. The best is yet to come.
Gotta go cook dinner and head to prayer meeting...I'll bet you're kind of thanking the Lord for that, eh!
