I am so sorry...there are no other words...it stinks!!!

You can talk to the L your H hired and ask questions...if you are not satisfied with what that L says, you can get your own.

You can also consult with another L and just pay them for their time.

If you agree and think what he is proposing is fair...then it would be cheaper to use one L and your H can pay for it!
