The wisdom that comes with the passage of time is only realized by those that can look back at that time which has passed.
You can know that in time things will change or get better but it is not until that time has passed that you actually possess the benefit of its passage.
I know I am glad I took the time to arrive at the place where I was ready to move "forward" with my life. Prior to that decision I often felt like my life was put on hold by my W and I resented her for that......
Now looking back, I am happy that my life was on hold or as I like to refer to it now.....a personal growth period.
Most people cannot acheive that level of growth while in a relationship and the time to do this truly is a "gift" from our spouses.
I know you have done that hard work and have grown and changed as person. Feels good......doesn't it???

so many feel that a decision to move forward or on means that you could never be with your spouse again.....
The wonderful thing about allowing yourself the time to arrive where you are today is that you realize that ANYTHING is possible in the FUTURE.....
and that is what makes it FULL OF HOPE !!!!!

I was going to write a quick standard “happy birthday”, you know me and know that I am not one that is short with words…so here goes…
First off, I do want to say….happy birthday my friend, I truly wish you nothing but the best for you and yours. May this day; actually may the rest of YOUR future be everything that you want it to be! In my heart I know that it will be for you.
Secondly, I want to say thank you to you. Thank you for being YOU. Thank you for being a true friend. Ya know, we often do not, especially as men, open up and share our feelings with the same sex (we’ll actually in your case maybe that is still true – lol) but I have come to understand that true friendship, true brotherhood goes beyond words, goes beyond stereotypes, goes beyond the fear of openness, so to you my friend I say once again – thank you, Happy Birthday and I am honored to know YOU.
I believe that God puts people in our lives for a reason. I know why he put you in my life and for that I give Him thanks. You are true friend bro.
