Just returned from the hospital, I took the girls in to visit Dad. When I arrived my brother was there and he told me that Physio had sat Dad up in a chair for 30 minutes and took him for a walk earlier in the day. He also said that he ran into the Cancer doctor in the halls who told him that Dad looked so well, his vitals were good and his spirits were high. Doctor told brother "he's a pretty special person". Soon he'll be moved upstairs to the cancer ward. Dad was so happy to see the girls, he was kidding them about his "meal in a bag", he told them tonight it was Octupus. He's doing great for a dying man! Last night I went with wife and the girls to a get together with our old friends. We three couples have raised our kids together for the past 17 years. We get together a few times a year and I still go some of the time. We enjoyed a lovely meal, opened presents and ended up coming home at 2:00 am. So, that's my update of past two days.
