No Koolaid, but he cried about his mother...I wanted to drink the Koolaid after that! After the service I told him about my father and he promised to pray for him. I told him that I'd been asking so many people to pray for Dad yet just realized I wasn't praying for him myself! He said that was pretty normal, you get caught up in the emotion and all the tasks surrounding the situation that you just don't. That's why it's good to have others outside of it praying with and for you.
My Dad is going into surgery either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Just waiting to hear when. Doctor told Dad if they found he was full of cancer they would just sew him back up, how uplifting! Let's pray they don't find anything they can't handle.
Dad's going in at 3:30 pm today, unless there is an emergency and they need the operating room. If so, it will be tomorrow morning. I'll be with Mom during the surgery brandishing my nice new Cold. Prayers for Dad are welcome!
