I have a date with the NZ train guy on Thursday afternoon. He replied to my message 30 mins after I sent it. Much better! smile

OMG what shall I wear??! Not that I have many options... what does a girl wear for wine on a Thursday afternoon?? Bearing in mind last time he saw me I hadn't slept for 3 days and was looking rough on the train!

Options
- khaki knee length dress, seems to get quite a lot of attention when I walk down the street.

- cute japanese type dress with leggings. Quite individual.

- Long black maxi dress - have had compliments from that too. Good from the cleavage factor.

I love a bit of fun distraction from life!

FUN!

The japanese type dress sounds interesting. Being individual makes a statement.

The cleavage wouldn't be bad either!!! LOL

LOL! I think you would be fine with any of the three. So glad you are doing well. I was even saying to my Mom the other day that my year abroad defined me in so many ways. This experience will definetly stay with you. smile

hugs, kat

Yes, I have in my head my big goals which are

-Tasmania in Feb with my sister
- Perth - Darwin tour in April
- May home
All the bits in between are me saving and hopefully having fun in Melbourne.

The train guy (for simplicitys sake we'll call Jamie wink ) is going to call me about Thursday. Argh, I'm bad on the phone, why couldn't he stick to no contact FB smile and typically I finally get a text from Joe saying he misses me. Dammit! 5 weeks too late mate! Well, in actual fact a couple of days. Still, good distraction in Jamie, it'll be interesting to see what happens on thurs. He's a bit older than me (32) so it'll be good to go out with an older guy instead of a younger one.

Still nothing on the job front... I think I might have to go round the pharmacies now I have 'experience'. It's so boring but I have to keep thinking of the bigger goals.

Well, date goss...

He was sweet and nice but... nope.

We met up at 1pm as he said we would go for lunch and when I got there he said would I like to go for a beer. I was like' What, now?' thinking how hungry I was and how I hadn't eaten. Anyway, we went for a beer, I was being so careful bearing in mind I haven't drunk alcohol since Port Douglas!! And it turns out he smokes... why do I always get smokers??

Then after a while i kind of hinted at food, to which he said he never really ate, and by that point my stomach was practically eating itself, so we went off to look for somewhere. However, when we got to the place he was so non-plussed about food it kind of put me off eating so I said lets not bother. He asked if I would like to go for a beer by the river, to which I said fine so long as there were chips, thinking he meant nice riverside bar. But no, he took me to the bottle shop and bought a six pack for us to sit by the river and drink. Hmmmm classy! smile Anyway, halfway through, I asked him if it wasn't illegal to be drinking here (v different rules to the UK in Oz), to which he replied yes. OMG!

He was sweet and gave me lots of compliments, which I always find very hard to take. But he so obviously wanted to do stuff with me it was very off-putting. I could see that he really wanted to touch me a lot, stroking my hair and face and stuff. Eventually I let him put his hand on my knee lol!

Well, I got home and got a text saying that I really did have lovely eyes, to which I replied thanks and he sent one back saying 'I'm looking forward to getting my hands on you, um, I mean catching up again.' Ewwwwwww!!!! I ignored it.

I agreed to go shopping with him tomorrow but then he goes back to Adelaide which is where he lives thank goodness. Nup, no, not for me. Good to be able to actually say that, instead of trying to 'make it work'.
