Have you tried uninstalling the graphics card in the device manager, and then rebooting? Oh, one other question... is it a separate graphics card, or is it on-board?
No I haven't but that is a great idea. As for the second question, I really don't know. How would I tell? I know that sounds stupid. I did install an additional memory card so I know about that but the graphics card came with it and I have never had to do anything with it. Any help appreciated.
I will try to uninstall it after the concert tonight and see if the computer recognizes it during the reboot.(Both girls have concerts at the same time, different schools about 5 miles apart. good thing their parents can handle being apart. lol)

Is the output for the monitor up by the keyboard input, or down in one of the card slots. (This is the desktop, right?)
If you open it up, and the monitor plugs into a card that plugs into the main board it's separate. If it plugs into the mainboard, or into a connector that's just a cable to the main board, it built in.
Thanks so much Jeff. should I check and see how it is set up before I delete it and reboot? Or does that matter? I really appreciate your help. I am sure Kerry would be throwing his .50 cents in too if he was here. I might need to bug him on the alt just to say hi.

Just go to control panel, I think. Or is there a different way to do that? I feel a bit off in my real world realm as I have actually been busy at work which is nice. I got my review today. We both noticed my slump/burn out period and agreed things were on the upturn. A raise is a raise right? Higher goals for next year. I pray with all my heart that next year will be the year that nothing major goes wrong and we all are healthy and happy.
I've been through enough crud the last three years to last a lifetime.

I right click "My Computer", then properties, then hardware, then device manager. You should then be able to select the graphics adapter (right click) and remove it. Then reboot, and see what happens.
A raise is a raise! And I think we are all cheering for a better year to come!
Ok well I figured it would be one of the two! lol Hope you will be on later in case anything crazy happens but don't feel obligated. I can always catch you tomorrow.
