In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October, so I'm done being thankful! Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends. Hey, what's not to be thankful for, you've got three football games today you can watch...I gotta work and tonight I'm going to a high school open house with D13!
Hope you are enjoying the weekend, Wii. I know it isn't a holiday but hey, it's still the weekend! You should take yourself out for a nice dinner. After all, only paying for one makes it a pretty cheap date.

And there`s never any question about whether I`ll go home with myself.
What's happening wii? You must be spending a lot of time with yourself...woah- scratch that visual!

I've been busy myself, IR. It seems every night is a high school open house to visit. My youngest is going to high school next year and, unlike my oldest, who wanted to go to the school her friends were going to and didn't want to visit any other school, the youngest wants to visit everywhere. Yes, they are very different kids! Even if she wants to go to a different school than her sister it's unlikely she'll get in anyway because spots are usually quite limited and often there aren't any by February anyway. But, I don't want to discourage daughter from taking her school choice seriously so I take her. Wife can't as she has a number of proposals due in the next few weeks so I agreed to do it. She'll do any that come up in January. So, I'm off to church tonight (my night off!) for a worship and prayer evening. As long as I don't have to talk schools, I'm a happy man. Btw, my Dad has a Hiatia Hernia and they've put him on medication that is supposed to relax the muscles but so far just gives him the runs. So now he's either puking or crapping whereas before he was just puking. He's discouraged but realizes you have to give the meds time to work and initially the runs is a side effect. We'll have to wait and see. Gotta run...uh, sorry... go...uh, I have to leave anyway!
I didn't know there was medication that could help a Haitus Hernia. I have one. I've had so much acid reflux in the past couple of days. UGHH - it can really hurt when your coffee is stuck in your esophagus!
But if those are the side effects - I guess I'll put up with the pain.
Good for you for indulging your daughter's educational interest.
I don't know the name of the medication Barb (the one he's on is not covered by OHIP, which his doctor didn't realize but they gave him a months worth of samples for now) but there are apparently a number of drugs out there that help hiatus hernia, check with your doctor. My Dad's on some strong stomach acid reducers too. Well, I've taken two days off as vacation. Apparently I have over a months vacation coming to me and I've only taken a week and two days throughout the year. So, i broke down and took today and tomorrow off. Now, my daughters sick and I will be taking her to the doctor's today. I did dishes and put out the recycle and later on I'm gonna get really wild and do laundry and change the turtles tank. I'm a mad man! On the bright side, I'm not gonna have to go to another high school open house tonight, D13 won't be up to it. She's still in bed sleeping. I'm reading a book by a liberal Pastor "The Power of Positive Believing". I met this man the other night at a gathering at his church. So, I'm gonna put some time into reading that today and I've also got the DVD series "God in America" which I caught about 45 minutes of when it was on PBS, it seemed fascinating. So, I'll try and watch all six hours of that in the next two days...but don't hold me to it! Something more critical may come up, like vacuuming!
