W Filed, Still not served, GAL'n every day!

Hey all - I decided to stay at a friends house for a few days after being served. I told the kids to call if they need anything and will be talking to them everyday until I return to the "home".

I cannot believe the gall of my STBXW that she actually called me yesterday to get the xmas tree out so we could start decorating, an hour later the process server shows up at my office - I just for the life of don't get it, she knew I was getting served. She wanted to know where I was going when I left and I just somewhere away from here.

Now onto retaining the lawyer and starting the whole process. It's going to pretty damn hard living in the same space while this all goes down during the holidays and our anniversary. I was going to treat it like any other year, but now with the papers filed I just can't, it's going to be hard on the kids.

Things are going to start getting split up, it's going to be interesting to see her reaction to paying her share of the bills, and not having access to my income at all. Since we reside in the same home, no temp spousal or child support can be awarded, so it's time to play very very hardball - it's now a business relationship that must be severed.

I've detached with warmth and will do my best to stay that way on the outside, but when it comes to dividing our lives it has to be for myself and my kids first and foremost.
