Some WAS will stay in a terrible "affair R" forever due to arrogance and pride. I know three people that had affairs IRL and all three are married to their affair partners now and all of them have been married for 10+ years.
Are you saying the ones married for 10+ years have been there only due to arrogance and pride? (Those sentences may be unrelated observations, so I don't want to assume...!)
